Samsung Mobile has consolidated its leadership in Kerala, capturing over 40 per cent of the market.
The success of Galaxy J series smartphones has helped the company achieve the leadership position in the State, Raju Pullan, Vice-President, Samsung India, said, adding that every third phone sold in Kerala in the mid and mass segment is a Galaxy J.
It has also emerged as India’s most popular smartphone series, accounting for one in four smartphones sold in the country. The features in the phone such as social camera, unique Android Nougat and Samsung Pay/Samsung Pay Mini have increased the appeal of Galaxy J, he said.
“We are growing in double digits nationally and last year, the company posted record sales. This year, we will break last year’s sales record,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the launch of Twin Win Onam offer in Kerala here on Thursday.
During the Onam festival season, he said the industry normally grows at 12-15 per cent. “We will post double-digit growth and beat the industry growth rate,” he said.
