The first phase of AMRL Hitech City, a multi-product Special Economic Zone (SEZ), a joint venture project of AMR Group of Hyderabad and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO), is ready to be leased out.
Located in Nanguneri Taluk of Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu, the project’s first phase, involving 1,250 acres, is ready with infrastructure.
According to a statement by the Srei Group, the financier and marketer of the project, the leasing out process has begun.
N Eswara Rao, President of AMRL Hitech City, said that over 100 acres have been leased out to more than 25 customers.
“The company has received enquiries for another 800-900 acres”, he added.
Diverse industries The SEZ is meant to house a diverse set of industries such as electronics, general engineering, auto ancillaries/components and solar units. Spread over a total of 2,518 acres, the SEZ’s location provide access to the Tuticorin port and airport.
It is also well-connected with road and rail networks.
