West Bengal, despite having no dearth in availability of talent and creativity, has not seen many entrepreneurship initiatives materialising on the ground.
The reason for this is mainly because people in the state lack an entrepreneurial vision and mindset.
With this thought in mind banglanatak dot com along with British Council and the International Entrepreneurship Forum based at the Venture Academy, Essex Business School, University of Essex, UK, organised a two-day seminar on ‘Entrepreneurship as a social movement: creating cultural, social and economic value’.
The seminar aimed initiate a strategizing process to explore how innovation, entrepreneurship and local skills supported by a pragmatic and sensitive socio-economic ecosystem, can make the desired impact in eastern India, in general, and West Bengal, in particular.
