Public Enterprises Selection Board (PSEB) has recommended the name of AK Srinivasan as Director (Finance) of ONGC. Srinivasan is currently an Executive Director at ONGC and his name was selected after interviews of 11 candidates. If his name gets the final approval from the Appointments Committee of Cabinet, Srinivasan will replace AK Banerjee, who retires in 2015.
The PESB’s recommendation will go to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, which will take a decision at the Cabinet Committee of Appointments headed by the Prime Minister after obtaining a no-objection from anti-corruption agencies Central Vigilance Commission and CBI.
