Kejriwal launches Aam Admi Party
Arvind Kejriwal on Monday launched his Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and vowed to send “corrupt” ministers to jail within six months of his party being voted to power.
Addressing a big gathering at Parliament Street here, Kejriwal also asserted that Jan Lokpal would be passed in Parliament within 15 days of the AAP coming to power.
“There is no end to the list of corrupt ministers and leaders in the country. All these people should be charged and sent to jail if charges against them are proved,” he said in his valedictory address at the launch ceremony.
Flanked by Shanti Bhushan and former Navy Chief Admiral Ramdass, who drafted AAP’s constitution, he took pains to explain to people assembled there how different his outfit was from the existing political parties whom he accused of having “looted the country since Independence.”

Yes, good that its taking a shape now. Any way many of us are direct or indirectly related since Anna Movement. I personally support the idea of political party and now see things are moving in right direction. I belong to Odisha and submit my opinion.In Odisha,during agitations for "Lokpal" civil society had people of diffrent hues.Now that Arvind has gone political and wishes to contest all the states say in 2014 elections I submit the following.Members of IAC (prior to AAP formation) are not a political force and unlikely they can be in near future.I have observed, one very honest, able and towering leader of both national and state leader was very active during Anna Movement and had covered all the state of Odisha for generating Opinion.He has a growing political party namely "Utkal Bharat".People of Odisha have faith in his integrity and ability.Yes he does not have money but most able person to lead the state. So, AAP should tie up with such leaders and parties if wants success.
Having taken the first step in the right direction AAP should now
aim at making its base at the grass root level in rural area. For
this they have to educate the people to rise above the
considerations of caste, religion, language and region.Retired
defence personnel,who are scattered all over the country in large
numbers and who are perhaps the only people in the country who meet
the above conditions as a group,will be a great asset to the newly
formed party, if they are taken on board.It can also minimize the
election expenses as canvasing can be done by word of mouth.
