Senior party leader Venkaiah Naidu today said that there is no dearth of leadership in the BJP, if it was to project its prime ministerial candidate for the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
“There is no dearth of leadership in the BJP. Advaniji (L. K. Advani), Sushmaji (Sushma Swaraj), myself... all have a set of records,” Naidu told presspersons here.
“The party will discuss the issue of the PM candidate at an appropriate time,” he said, responding to a query seeking his reaction on Yashwant Sinha’s support for Narendra Modi.
“Modi is voted to work as Chief Minister of Gujarat. He is a national leader. He has all the qualities of a national leader but the question is that the party is yet to have a discussion on the PM candidate,” Naidu said.
The party after discussing the PM candidate, will have further deliberations with its allies before announcing the name, he said.
Responding to yet another question, Naidu ruled out any impact of dissidence within the BJP in Karnataka on the prospects of the party in that State.
“There is some affect on the party due to the statements and counter statements by the leaders but people will vote back BJP to power there,” he said referring to developments in Karnataka.

Comments:
If BJP or NDA not announcing its PM candidate before election going to be lose its vote base and wrong in understanding todayâs voting pattern and youngster casting their voting looking who is going to lead nation and matter candidate credibility, administration and diplomatic capabilities. Party high command is weak in having his own selection without consulting it organization and partners against to this culture will lead to break up. They have to have the survery of all the political parties and leadership from national to regional parties. Voters more belive in leaders then parties. Advaniji is the only all acceptable face or else Nitishji is best candidate as he brought Bihar into progress path without any kidn of corruption and scam during is power till date. If party wants to Modi to be PM of this nation must win 200plus seats to dictate partners or made them mum to their selection.
