Kolkata, March 8:
Trinamool Congress leader and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday said that the Lok Sabha elections were imminent. “The elections could be in the next three months,” she said.
She said at a meeting here that the Trinamool Congress would improve its tally and bargain for the Railway Ministry. “We will regain the Railway Ministry. There is no reason to panic,” she added.
She said the UPA-led Government is increasing the prices of fuel and essential commodities every other day.

Comments:
This implies that without the Railway Ministry there is a clear and present reason to panic.
What is there special in Railway Ministry. Any central ministry should be for benefit of the entire country.
What a strange party his, with a single fixation to land in the railway ministry. All this is because sadly iR has ben reudced to be a medium thrugh which minsiters concerned could usher in populist measures such as new trains and new railway lines regardless of their cost implications. And now one more fixxation of a bullet train in some aeas, Like Air Inia, iR will soon sink into a financial morass. A former cabient secretary in his memoirs hs ssid that at the rate in which new lines were announced and the poor financial allocation annualy it would take 150 years to compelte those projects. If anyting the psoitioon would ahe worsened We need a strong dose of administration from our railway minister? While Mamata Banerrjee aims at our railways, our own prayers are for a strong and able railway minister to usehr in the needed measures to rejuvenate the ailing railways/
