President Pranab Mukherjee will visit the State tomorrow to address the fourth convocation of the Dev Sanskriti Vishwa Vidyalaya in Haridwar.

Mukherjee will arrive at around 12 noon at the capital’s Jollygrant Airport where he will be received by Governor Aziz Qureshi and Sports Minister Dinesh Agrawal besides a host of senior Government officials, including the Chief Secretary and the DGP, Protocol Secretary M. H. Khan said.

The President will then be flown in a chopper to Raiwala from where he will proceed by road to Haridwar’s Dev Sanskriti Vishwa Vidyalaya to address the convocation.

He will return to Dehradun for lunch at the Raj Bhawan before leaving for Delhi at 4.35 pm, Khan said.

The newly painted DSVV campus looks all decked up to host the event being held after a gap of several years.

A water- and fire-proof pandal with a capacity to accommodate 5,000 visitors has been set up on the campus where the convocation is to be held.

Tight security arrangements have been made both in Dehradun and Haridwar to ensure a smooth visit for the President.
