The CAI EXPO 2017, which showcased the latest technologies and products in the area of construction, architecture and design, ended today with nearly 6,000 visitors attending the three-day expo at the Chennai Trade Centre.

The last day saw a record number of visitors, according to exhibitors.

“It was a great learning for me to see the latest technologies in design,” said D Babu, a final year engineering student with a leading college in the city. This was the fifthe edition of the three-day expo, organised by BusinessLine in association with iAds & Events.

It will be held in three more cities later this year. There are plans to extend it to eight cities next year.

The supporting partners for the expo were CREDAI, the All India Bricks and Tiles Manufactures Association of India, the Indian Association of Structural Engineers, the Ready Mixed Concrete Manufacturers Association, and the Indian Society of Lighting Engineers.

Good feedback Building contractor S Prabhu, a first-time visitor to the expo, said it was an eye-opener for him to see the latest technologies in the construction industry.

A dip-stick survey of the people manning the various stalls gave a good feedback on the better quality of visitors this year.
