NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, will conduct a conference on ‘Recent advances and challenges in biotechnology’ from December 27-29.
A press release said here that around 40 researchers have registered to present their research papers on various fields of applied biotechnology such as medical and pharmaceutical biotechnology, environmental biotechnology, fermentation technology, food and agricultural biotechnology and nano-biotechnology. More than 150 research scholars from various institutes will attend the conference, it said.
Jyoti Iyer, Senior Scientific Manager, Biocon, Bangalore, will inaugurate the conference on December 27.
Prakash Kumar, Professor at National University of Singapore, will deliver the keynote address.
N. Vinaya Hegde, President of Nitte Education Trust and Chancellor of Nitte University, will preside over the function, the release added.
