German luxury automobile manufacturer Audi will be the official car partner for the week-long Aircel Chennai Open tournament.

Audi will be using their fleet of cars to transport players in the city during the period of the international tennis tournament, according to a press release.

The Aircel Chennai Open is owned by the global sports and event management company International Management Group and operated and organised by IMG Reliance. The total prize money for the event is ₹3.4 crore ($5,00,000).

Chief Executive Officer, Audi Chennai, said in the press release, “Right from our brand values of being sporty, progressive and sophisticated, Audi has been synonymous with sport. Our association with the Chennai Open embodies our philosophy.”

Chennai Open is a professional tennis tournament and is currently a part of the Association Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour 250 series. The tournament is conducted in partnership with Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) and the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association. It will be held from January 2 to 8, 2017 at SDAT Tennis Stadium, Nungambakkam, Chennai.
