The Rotary Club of Madras will host the 10th edition of its annual “Merchants and Bankers Golf Tournament” on January 27 at the Tamil Nadu Golf Federation (TNGF) - Cosmo Golf Course, Chennai. The event is sponsored by Omega Healthcare and BusinessLine .
The funds raised from this event will be used towards the Club’s ongoing projects.
The tournament will be played on the Strokeplay format with Single Peoria handicapping system applied through a ‘hidden holes’ methodology. There are prizes for the corporate winning and runners-up teams and individual prizes for physically challenged categories 0-15 and 16 & above as also overall prizes for the winner, runner-up and the Ladies winner.
The Rotary Club of India will host the prize distribution on Saturday 28 at Taj Coromandel, the hospitality partner for the event.
Indian legends Jeev Milkha Singh and Arjun Atwal have thrown their hats in the ring to lend a helping hand, as even their signed merchandise will be auctioned on January 28.
Co-sponsors Suryoday lead the line along with IIFL, AVM Balasubramaniam, 24 Organics, Access Healthcare and a host of other sponsors who have contributed to the giveaways and prizes on offer including Qatar Airways.
Being a professionally run event, the management of it has been entrusted to the well-known Brandon de Souza and his company, Brandon de Souza Management Services.
