It is not just the Indian cricket fan who wants his/ her team to win against Pakistan, even the celebrities and politicians want it.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the Indian team on their win against Pakistan in the World Cup on Twitter, it got the most number of re-tweets during the entire duration of the tournament.
After the win, Modi tweeted: “Congrats Team India. Well played. We are all very proud of you.” This tweet has been re-tweeted more than 20,800 times.

It said #CWC15 contributed to more than 1.4 billion live views (impressions) of tweets across every match throughout the six-week tournament. (Twitter said this was measured by looking at how many times live tweets posted about #CWC15 were viewed on Twitter during each match).
Traditional rivals – India and Pakistan – had four representatives each in the ‘dream team’ created by Twitter. The most mentioned players on Twitter during the series were part of the ‘dream team’.
MS Dhoni (@msdhoni) got the tag of team captain. He was accompanied by Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan.
Misbah-ul-Haq, Shahid Afridi, Sohail Khan and Wahab Riaz from Pakistan also got representation in the team. South African players AB DeVilliers and Dale Steyn were the other players who made it to the team. However, World Cup winner Australia had only one representative in the form of Mitchell Starc.
The blog post said India took the most-mentioned honours on Twitter, followed by Pakistan, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
