Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy has clarified that February 15 will not be the deadline for Aadhar-linked gas subsidy scheme.
At an emergency high-level meeting held at Secretariat today, the Chief Minister clarified that the February deadline will not be implemented and appealed to the public not to panic.
The Chief Minister instructed officials to open 300 new centres in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district.
The meeting comes in the backdrop of chaos at Aadhar enrolment centres where the officials were unable to handle the rush. People are worried that they may not get subsidised LPG cylinders if they do not enrol on time.
In spite of assurances, there is considerable confusion among general public on the implementation of the scheme. He said in cases where they have already enrolled, they need not go to the Aadhaar enrolment centres again.
He also wanted the facility to enrol in 60 ‘Mee Seva’ centres in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district to be extended within a week for issuing duplicate cards and in other cases where ‘Aadhaar’ cards have been either lost or have not been received by the beneficiaries.

Comments:
Aadhar enrollment is a big fail. People who have registered in 2011 have not yet received the cards. I myself registered in May , 2011, but have not yet received. When contacting officials, they are clue less. It looks Aadhar is useful only for controlling subsidies. Not useful to track citizens, anti-social elements etc. In this type of country like India, enrolling all citizens into aadhar especially with our 'efficient' bureaucracy, it is next to impossible.
This is another chaos from UPA2. i didnot got the need linking aadhaar with LPG any consumer who is having connection is using more than 9 cylinder then after 9 ask full amount. so simple. i have went to aadhaar card enrollment center i was thinking how to enroll in this much rush.
Hi team,
From 1 cylinder onwards we have to pay the market rate(1051Rs) and the subsidy amount will be credited your bank account based on Aadhaar. After consuming the subsidized quota we have to pay the market rate as usual.

Kiran
