The Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR), Chennai has opened its new campus at Sri City in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.

The campus was inaugurated by Morton Schapiro, President, Northwestern University, Illinois, USA, in the presence of Chanda Kochhar, MD and CEO, ICICI Bank Ltd., and other distinguished guests.

N Vaghul, Chairman, Board of Governors, IFMR explained the growth of the Institute and welcomed the gathering.

Chanda Kochhar, who delivered the keynote address said, "We are all living in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world, and there is an urgent need to find solutions for various problems. I appeal all of you to use the technology in finding suitable solutions, create opportunities to grow and take the country forward."

Ravi Sannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City said, the opening of IFMR in the backward region of the State will make a significant impact in meeting the education and training needs of the industry and region.

The IFMR new campus in Sri City goes operational from this academic year and offers 2-year AICTE approved PGDM course. For the 2014-16 batch, it plans to admit 180 students, and the admission process is in progress, a press release said.
