Kerala State Cooperatives Consumer Federation (Consumerfed), under the auspices of the department of cooperation, has launched a major market intervention programme ahead of the Vishu festival. The Vishu Fair will be rolled out at 2,500 centres across the State, including the district-centric ones at all 14 district centres, an official spokesman said here. Essential items will be made available for fair prices at the Thriveni department stores, the Super Markets, the Mega Marts, Nanma Stores, Neethi Stores, Neethi Stores run separately by cooperative institutions, and other retail outlets functioning as part of the district-level wholesale stores.
