M.P. allots 1,000 acres for solar power plant in Neemuch

The Madhya Pradesh Government has earmarked 1,000 acres of land in Neemuch district to set up the country’s biggest solar power plant, which will generate 130 MW of power, State New and Renewable Energy Minister Ajay Vishnoi has said.

The minister gave this information at the departmental advisory committee meeting held here on Tuesday , an official release said on Wednesday.

The share of renewable energy in the State is five per cent of the total energy generation of Madhya Pradesh, the release said. At present, work is underway for 311 MW solar power projects in the State.
