Kozhikode, Dec. 9:
Foundation stone for the Central University of Kerala would be laid in Kasargod district next month, Union Minister of State for Human Resources Development Sashi Tharoor said today.
Talking to reporters here, Tharoor said Union HRD Minister Pallam Raju would lay the stone on January 5 at Periye in Kasargod district. The required land for the university has already been acquired, he said.
The request for starting an IIT and a Central School in Kerala, specially in the Malabar region, would be examined, he said.
