Speakers at an awareness session here have stressed the need for better corporate governance in effective business environment.
The session was organised by CII in association with National Foundation for Corporate Governance, New Delhi, portraying the growing need for adoption of corporate governance strategies and policies in companies operating in the State.
In his inaugural address, K.M. Chandrasekhar, Vice-Chairman, Kerala State Planning Board, said corporate governance was related to the stage of development of economy. He stressed on the need of corporate governance to become more professional and practical in organisations.
He urged corporates in the State to find the right balance between freedom and regulation, growth and welfare and opportunities and challenges.
