The Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Wednesday released the “less cash' campaign road map of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).
This nationwide campaign, launched by CAIT, will in next 40 days seek to promote usage of digital payments across the country.
Also, August 15 will be observed as ‘Less Cash Day’ all over the country, said a CAIT release.
Releasing the ‘less cash’ campaign roadmap of CAIT, Jaitley stressed the need to eradicate the shadow economy. He also felt that more usage of digital payments will improve gross domestic product (GDP) growth
Stating that black money was a curse on the economy, Jaitley called upon people to make use of the Union Government’s 'Income Disclosure Scheme 2016'..
