The US Consulate in city has launched its new and updated visa application process. At a programme, organized by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, on Wednesday presentations were made by Wendy Kennedy, Visa Consular Section Chief and Lauren Armenise, Vice Consul, on the new process followed by an interactive session.
The new process provides for a simpler and more convenient two-day interview process.
An applicant will now be able to make appointments through the call centres according to their convenience.
“Also, the fingerprint and photograph obligations can be fulfilled at any one of the major cities even if the interview is at a different date, place and time”, a press release said.
