She is the most searched star on Google. Bollywood diva Sunny Leone, a former adult entertainer and actor, now wants to establish herself firmly as an entrepreneur.

Leone, whose recent line of investments include fragrances, a franchise for a box league cricket, a web-based short story and an online game among others, says that she is also keenly looking to enter categories such as shoes and apparels with her own line of products.

Leone’s latest venture is perfume range ‘Lust’, which was launched in a Dubai a week ago.

“Our aim is to tap into various categories and create a brand. We recently introduced our perfume line aimed at the mass market,” Leone told BusinessLine .

Competitive pricing She added that her company has kept the price highly competitive to attract the consuming class. Lust Deo is priced at ₹249 while the Eau De Toilet stands at ₹999. The company has already begun distribution, both in the online and offline categories, she said.

Leone made a splash in the Indian market following her entry through reality show Bigg Boss in 2011. Since then the entrepreneurial actor has capitalised on her brand not just through Bollywood films but also making key business investments.

Recently, the 35-year-old unveiled her box league cricket team Chennai Swaggers, a reality show cricket tournament backed by Ekta Kapoor and featuring prominent television stars as players.

Besides this, Leone, along with publishing house Juggernaut, has launched original, mobile-first titles called Sweet Dreams. She also has online game Teen Patti to her credit.

No goodbye

Ask her if the shift to entrepreneurship means goodbye to Bollywood and Leone says a firm no.

“No way. Bollywood is my mainstay but expanding my brand profile in India is what I am looking at doing. India is a huge learning experience and we intend to establish ourselves here,” said the actor, born Karenjit Kaur Vohra. Leone manages her business along with husband Daniel Webber.
