For this summer Tollywood has lined up some big releases for the movie buffs.

As the holiday season approaches fast, the film-makers are making efforts to release the firms in the next few weeks.

The list includes Baahubali-2 - The Conclusion , which is slated for release on April 28 and Pawan kalyan’s Katamarayudu , which is hitting the screens this week, on March 24.

Mahesh Babu’s bilingual (Telugu, Tamil) film, being directed by Murugadoss, will hit the screens in June.

Also releasing in the summer is, Venkatesh-starrer Guru , yet another remake ( Irudhi Suttru ) from Tamil. It is releasing in the first week of April. Allu Arjun’s film Duvvada Jagannadham also figures in the list of releases.

Reports suggest that almost all theatres in several towns in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are going to show Pawan kalyan film in the first week to make the most of it.

Keeping in view the likely demand for theatres, the producers are spacing out the movies to ensure availability of screens for the big ticket releases.

Coming after a huge flop in the form of Sardar Gabbar Singh last year, Pawan kalyan is taking extra care to come out with a hit this time.

Katamarayudu , directed by Dolly, is a remake of the Tamil Ajith-starrer Veeram (2014). The film was to be directed by SJ Surya, who backed out due to his acting commitments.

Pawan kalyan, who is the founder of Janasena Party, producing the film under his North Star Entertainments production house.

He is betting big on the film as he throws down the gauntlet for the 2019 Assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Baahubali-2 , the sequel to Bahubali-The Beginning that emerged a smash hit globally, is releasing on April 28 worldwide. With the first part turning out to be a stupendous hit, there has been a huge interest in the sequel. That the trailer clocked 2.58 crore views and 3.50 lakh views in just four days shows the expectations of the audience in the sequel.

Apart from India, the film is going to hit globally in multiple foreign languages. Chipmaker AMD has teamed up with Baahubali director Rajamouli to set up experience zones in theatres to show small clips, giving a 360-degree view of the fictional capital of Mahishmati.
