Indian Institute of Management Shillong successfully concluded its 6th Annual Convocation on Tuesday at the Mayurbhanj Complex in IIM Shillong campus. A total of 119 students were awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) while 31 students were awarded the Post Graduate Programme for Executive Diploma during the event.
Ramakrishnan Mukundan, Managing Director of Tata Chemicals presided over the event as the chief guest. Mukundan in his address spoke about the five guiding principles in life, encouraging the outgoing batch to have simple needs and to live with a purpose. He motivated them to enjoy this purpose and work towards attaining it.
Mukundan urged the graduating batch to pursue their dreams and fulfill it rather than becoming a part of other's dreams. The significant achievements of IIM Shillong were highlighted by Amitabha De, Director of IIM Shillong, as he emphasised the institute's major goals to achieve in the years to come.
