The Economist is hosting an online fair on September 10, 11 and 13 to help students compare and select a course and college to meet their MBA aspirations.
Titled ‘Which MBA?’, the fair will let students interact with admissions officers, deans and professors over group chats or one-on-one sessions. Students will also get a chance to question present students and alumni of the colleges on their experience. Registration is free.
According to Elizabeth Alexander, Marketing Executive, The Economist Group, the fair had registered 5,000 students across the world till Monday night and the number is expected to rise to 7,000.
Asked about the participation of Indian students, she said India is heavily represented at such events.
“This year, about 25 per cent of our registrants so far are from India. That is quite a bit considering that there aren't any Indian business school participating this time,” she said.
Twenty B-schools including Rutgers, Henley, CU Denver, Audencia Nantes and HEC Montreal are participating in this event.
Alexander emphasised that the fair, which is in its fourth year now, helped students make an informed decision. “We recently conducted a survey of our past attendees, and found that 84 per cent of Fair participants say that it influenced their decision about which schools to apply,” she added.
The fair also has incentives for students who attend the most number of webinars or visit more than five booths – a $5,000 scholarship to a participating business school and an iPad Air.
