Markets Events 2007 Jan Feb Mar Apr May Jun Jul Aug Sep Oct Nov Dec Events in December 2007 Dec. 3: Korean firm Mirae gets SEBI licence to begin MF operations in India Dec. 4: The George Soros Quantum Fund of the Soros Fund Management Llc, a foreign institutional investor, acquires 5.8 per cent stake in Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd (GAEL), an agro-processing firm. Dec. 7: The NSE revises the contract size for 106 securities in the derivative segment. Of these, the market lot of 92 securities revised downwards and that of 14 revised upwards. Dec. 11: The the Sensex and Nifty post all-time highs. The BSE Sensex is up 360.21 points and touches 20333.06 before ending the day at 20290.89. The Nifty is up by 2.29 per cent to end at 6097.25. Dec. 14: The initial public offering of BGR Energy Systems is subscribed by 119.54 times by the closing day of December 12. 857 stocks hit upper circuit filter on BSE
