It is a common sight to see young boys speeding on high-performance motorcycles on public roads these days. In addition to causing a nuisance to ordinary road-goers, these riders face risk of fatal injuries. Honda is attempting to get these speed demons off the road and onto a track by launching a helpline that will offer one-stop information to motorsport enthusiasts on how to get started with track racing.

Under this unique initiative, any rider who wishes to take-up motorsport professionally can reach out to Honda Racing through the number - 0124-6712863.

The company’s racing team with then provide training to deserving candidates through its Honda Ten10 Racing Academy. They will also be given technical support as well as race-prepped motorcycles in order to enable them to participate in competitive races.

Power to the women

Another new program that the Japanese manufacturer will be introducing this season is a women’s championship. After the success of the one-off All Women’s Race that was conducted during round 5 of the 2015 season, Honda has announced that the intiative will be extended to a full season. Ten women riders, all trained by the Ten10 Racing Academy, will compete in the first round of the competition. 

 “There is something about motor racing that grabs the imagination of almost everyone,” said Prabhu Nagaraj, Vice President of Customer Service at Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India. “Following an overwhelming response from participants, and support from the motorsport fraternity, we are pleased to announce a full-season of Honda Exclusive Women's Race.”

The company also unveiled new race-ready versions of its CBR 150R and 250R motorcycles. In addition to hosting its flagship One Make Races, the company will also be entering 10 motorcycles through two teams – Ten10 and ProLap – in the National Championships.
