Renault India has announced the launch of a new product in the MPV segment – the Lodgy World Edition. The car, which will be available in two variants, has been built with 25 new enhancements to its exteriors and interiors.

Both variants of the vehicle will be powered by the 1.5 litre dCi (Common Rail Direct Injection) engine. The more powerful diesel variant will deliver 110PS of maximum power and peak torque of 245Nm@1750rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, delivering fuel efficiency of 19.98 kmpl.

The alternate variant of the same 1.5 litre dCi engine produces 85PS of maximum power and 200Nm@1900rpm of peak torque with a 5-speed manual transmission, and delivers a mileage of 21.04 kmpl.

Flashy new exteriors

The front end of the car features a bold, jewel-studded grille straddled by fog lamps with chrome satin garnish. The two-tone aerodynamic bumper is complemented by R15 Nepta finish alloy wheels with black wheel-arch cladding. Other visual elements which will set the new World Edition apart include a special badge, body graphics, dual-tone roof rails with chrome satin finish, black & chrome body side moulding, printed matte & textured B&C pillar stripping and a rear spoiler.

Plush, spacious and ergonomic

Inside the cabin, Renault has provided with chrome trims on the dashboard and door handles along with a glossy black foam steering wheel, new upholstery with anodized orange lining. Adding a touch of bright colour is the new anodized orange finish on the centre ring of the instrument cluster and air vents. Other value added features include second and third row smart-sense AC ensuring efficient cooling across the vehicle, electrically adjustable mirrors, 2 DIN music system, Bluetooth, central locking with keyless entry, headlight turn on reminder, and 12V charging sockets across 2 rows for both drivers and passengers.

Total protection

The Lodgy also comes with a good set of safety equipment including ABS, EBD and Brake Assist and driver-side airbags as standard kit.

Renault has also announced the launch of its 3CARE initiative that will provide comprehensive maintenance including 3 years of warranty (up to 60,000 kms), 3 years of Road Side Assistance (up to 60,000 Kms) and 3 years of Periodic Maintenance Service (up to 30,000 Kms), starting at ₹22,142.

In an attempt to appeal to customers looking for a compelling value proposition, Renault has announced discounts across the Lodgy range with prices now starting at ₹7.58 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while the new World Edition will be priced at ₹9.74 lakh for the 85 PS variant and ₹10.40 lakh for the 110 PS variant (ex-showroom Delhi) respectively.
