OfficeTiger would continue to offer high-end and high-margin services
Chennai, March 20
The US-based R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company is to acquire OfficeTiger in an all-cash deal for about $250 million. Further, the BPO division of Astron, which was acquired by R.R. Donnelley last year, would be merged with OfficeTiger, according to Mr Joseph Sigelman, co-founder of OfficeTiger.
Both OfficeTiger of the US and Astron of the UK have a significant presence in India.
Post-acquisition and merger of Astron's BPO with OfficeTiger, the combined employee strength of OfficeTiger would be about 6,000 globally, and 5,000 in India, he told
Business Line. There would not be any change in the brand, management, and employees of the company.
Identity to stay
OfficeTiger would retain its identity. Mr Sigelman said that R.R. Donnelley saw OfficeTiger's strength in areas such as research, analytics, accounting, and legal services.
OfficeTiger would continue to offer high-end and high-margin services, including financial analysis and reporting, desktop publishing, creative services, word processing, credit analysis, claims processing, litigation support, market research, database services, and managing creative services, he added.
