Nipuna Services Ltd, the BPO arm of Satyam Computer, is considering overseas centres in Budapest, Brazil and Malaysia, to bring in multi-lingual capabilities.

These centres are based on business requirements as some of the customers have a say on where these support centres could be located.

While these centres might come up during the year, Nipuna could potentially take advantage of the parent company's presence in Budapest and Malaysia and is negotiating for a deal in Brazil.

The company indicated that its revenues could touch $36 million in 2006-07, up from $19.8 million it achieved in the previous year, reflecting a growth rate of about 100 per cent .

. The Chief Executive Officer of Nipuna, Mr Venkatesh Roddam, said that the company managed to cash break even in the fourth quarter of 2005-06 and expected to ramp up operations in areas of animation, engineering design and high-end technology work.

Addressing a press conferencehere on Wednesday, Mr Roddam said that the company currently employed about 1,900-2,000 people and expected to add about 1,000 during the course of the year. Nipuna is in talks with Intel Capital about their investments and no decision has been taken as yet with regard to these investments.

Asked if they were considering the option of spinning off Nipuna as a separate company, Mr Roddam said nothing has been decided on this.
