A woman harvesting pepper at a farm in Kerala. Pepper prices have begun to rule steady on fears that drought in Vietnam could lead to fall in global production. Also, procurement of pepper by the Kerala State Cooperative Marketing Federation is keeping the prices steady. Currently, garbled pepper is ruling at Rs 7,000 a quintal, up Rs 200 since last weekend.
