Hyderabad, Sept 16
Global accountancy network firm BDO on Thursday opened its office in Hyderabad, announcing plans to expand its operations in this region.
The consulting firm, which has offices in more than 110 countries, will be focussing on organic growth, with plans to merge small and medium-sized advisory and consulting practices to meet its growth objectives.
In this connection, it announced that it has merged its Hyderabad operations with Locus Consulting Pvt. Ltd, which specialises in advisory and outsourcing services — the new entity will operate under the BDO brand and be associated with the BDO international network.
With the inauguration of the Hyderabad office, BDO's network in India has now expanded to 11. The company offers services in the fields of risk advisory, tax advisory, corporate finance advisory and global knowledge services.
Mr Sunil Sharma, Chief Eexecutive Officer of BDO, said the new office will contribute to its service offering in the South.
Mr K Pradeep, Director of Locus Consulting, said the firm was in the process of recruiting people to support the growth in the market in this region.
