IN its consolidated operations, Essel Propack reported a 30 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 27.3 crore for the fourth quarter of 2005 as compared to Rs 21 crore in the corresponding period in the previous year. Total income moved up to Rs 232.7 crore from Rs 201.1 crore.

The group has posted a net profit of Rs 90.5 crore for 2005 as compared to Rs 80.9 crore in 2004. Total income declined to Rs 635.6 crore in 2005 from Rs 677.9 crore in 2004.

Total income increased to Rs 69.5 crore during this quarter from Rs 66 crore in the same quarter last year.

For the full year, the company has posted a net profit of Rs 46.1 crore as compared to Rs 40.9 crore in 2004. Total income during 2005 increased to Rs 262.1 crore from Rs 229.7 crore in 2004. The company's board has approved an interim dividend of 100 per cent or Rs 10 per share.

Shares of Essel Propack fell by Rs 4.55 to Rs 343 on the BSE.
