HINDUSTAN Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has linked up its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme with two of the CII's projects Skill development initiative and the Bihar development initiative.
The projects, "Swavalamban" for skills development and "Vikas" for Bihar Development are fully funded by HPCL and the company has signed an MoU with the CII to formalise it.
The project Swavalamban aims to train 1,100 school dropouts under the CII skill development initiative. The first phase of Swavalamban would be launched in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal.
The project would focus to make the students employable and enable them to get self-employed.
