In to bid to incorporate the changes made to the Corporate Laws and also to further strengthen the profession, the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) is planning to go in for a major revamp of its syllabus, the newly-elected President of the Institute, Mr H.M. Choraria, said.

Addressing newspersons here, he said the Task Force appointed for the purpose of suggesting changes to the curricula was expected to submit its recommendations by the month-end. Also, the institute has recently conducted a market survey on the corrective measures to the taken for the Company Secretary courseware. Both these initiatives would help the institute in revamping the syllabus, he said.

Further, aimed at the reaching out to the middle-class and lower middle-class students in smaller towns and semi-urban areas across the country,

ICSI is planning to expand the network of counsellors.
