GODREJ Agrovet Ltd has tied up with Uni-President Enterprises Corporation, a Taiwan-based company, to further strengthen the business of shrimp feed in India.

A mutual understanding for this purpose was reached at a meeting between Mr C.K. Vaidya, Managing Director, GAVL and Mr Chih Peng Hsieh, President of Provision Group.

Uni-President Enterprises Corporation is part of UPEC Group, a $7-billion food major from Taiwan and has operations throughout the Asia Pacific region.

"This tie-up will benefit both the companies as it will help consolidate our position in the shrimp feed business in India while providing an opportunity for UPEC Group to source raw materials from India for its Asia Pacific region,'' a news release said quoting Mr Vaidya.

"This tie-up will enable us to further enhance Godrej Agrovet's shrimp feed business in the country,'' Mr A.R. Subbarao, Vice-President, Godrej Agrovet, said.
