HYDERABAD: Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL), whose average age of employee is above 45 years, has decided to do a reality medical check on all its employees above 40 years.

With the number in excess of 4,000 the electronics giant has spread the detailed medical check-up over a month beginning May 13, according to its Chairman and Managing Director, Mr G.P. Srivastava. Stating that the medical camp was perhaps the first such comprehensive exercise undertaken in any public sector undertaking, Mr Srivastava said the slogan, "Work well and work hard," will ensure better health to senior executives.

To carryout to the medical camp, ECIL has roped in Hyderabad-based medical organisations such as the Yashoda Hospital, ELBIT Medical Diagnostic Centre and Tapadia Diagnostic Centre. All the medical tests would be carried out in three centres within the factory, according to a company release.All employees who undergo the tests would be provided with reports with the opinion of the General Physician.
