SCA Hygiene Products, engaged in the manufacture of tissue and personal hygiene products segment, has entered into an alliance with JohnsonDiversey India, a provider of "hygienic drying" solutions in the Away-From-Home (AFH) segment.
According to an official statement, the tie-up makes JohnsonDiversey the sole authorised distributor for SCA Hygiene Products' Tork brand of AFH tissues in India, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan.
Tork is a global brand of tissue used in commercial and industrial workplaces, healthcare institutions, hospitality, catering operations and other public establishments. The product range includes toilet tissue, hand-wiping products, napkins and wipers for cleaning in industry and offices as well as various hygienic dispensing systems.
JohnsonDiversey Inc is a player in commercial cleaning, sanitation and hygiene solutions serving customers in the hospitality, food service, food & beverage, and healthcare sectors as well as building service contractors. It employs more than 1,300 people worldwide and has operations in more than 60 countries. The company serves customers in more than 100 countries.

According to Mr Reine Hagman, Commercial Director, SCA, "The Away-From-Home tissue market in India is huge, with eight cities contributing around 85 per cent of the sales. Mumbai and Delhi alone account for 35 per cent of the total sales. Cities with high tourist movements and hotels also have a high consumption of AFH tissues.
JohnsonDiversey India Pvt Ltd is 100 per cent subsidiary of JohnsonDiversey Inc. The latter was formed when the Wisconsin-based S.C. Johnson & Sons acquired the DiverseyLever division of Unilever in 2002 to form JohnsonDiversey Inc. S.C. Johnson holds 67 per cent and Unilever holds 33 per cent stake in the global JohnsonDiversey organisation.
JohnsonDiversey India offers a range of products and solutions for cleaning and hygiene in industries and institutions. It also provides customised food safety auditing and process efficiency consulting.
