BANGALORE: Rajesh Exports Ltd, manufacturer of gold jewellery, on Tuesday reported a net profit of Rs 16.86 crore for the quarter ended June as compared to Rs 7.30 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Its revenue for the period was Rs 1,173.14 crore, an increase of 10.08 per cent over the previous year's figure of Rs 1,065.70 crore.Mr Rajesh Mehta, Chairman, said the results were a reflection of better prices the company could gain in international markets. He said the company was finalising plans to launch its branded retail stores this year, which he said would further improve the margins for its products.
