Making an entry into the health and wellness segment, Dhathri Ayurveda will invest Rs 100 crore to set up 100 ayurveda, beauty and slimming (ABS) clinics in the next three years. Currently, the company has three ABS clinics at Kochi, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram.

Dhathri is one of the first companies to have exploited the strengths of traditional ayurvedic medication for the management of obesity, diabetes and cosmetic issues, with its three clinics attracting over 3,000 customers last year.

“We have received an immense response from our existing clinics. We are convinced that this product has immense potential. So we are in expansion mode,” the Managing Director, Dr S. Sajikumar, said.

The growth prospects for such treatment are emerging as rapid economic development has led to lifestyle changes, which have given rise to lifestyle-related diseases that are best combated by traditional systems of medicine such as ayurveda.
