Kolkata, April 17

Bhilai Steel Plant has reported plant maintenance module of ERP going live in three shops, namely, plate mill, steel melting shop II and rail mill with the help of consultants. “It has been a smooth sail wherein the core team and the shop personnel put in their best to adopt the new technology in line with the need of the emerging business challenges,” according to a press release by BSP. The plant maintenance module, the release explained, would provide all micro needs of maintenance activities (such as preventive, predictive, planned, breakdown maintenance, capital repairs and condition monitoring) which would be totally integrated with finance, materials, management, quality module and plant production module with online data sharing for instant and accurate MIS to take quick decisions. — Our Bureau
