Global majors Lehman Brothers, Barclays Bank, McKinsey Consulting, BCG and AT Kearney will, as usual be slotted as Day Zero companies during placements at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Campus placements, scheduled to begin on March 6 will also see Indian majors such as Reliance Industries wooing premium Indian B-school talent next month. The placement process is expected to be wrapped up in three days, said student media representatives of the IIM-B. In the last two months, almost 75 pre-placement offers have been made to the graduating batch of the institute. The number of companies participating in the placement process has been doubling every year.

In 2005, 78 companies made 328 offers to 190 students. Last year, 155 companies participated in the campus placement process of the IIM-B. Placement representatives said that this year the number of companies is expected to be higher than that of last year.
