Foreign tourist arrivals to Kerala this year are poised to overtake last year's record, if current trends are any indication. During 2004, the arrivals were 3.45 lakh but the Tourism Department is confident that this would be easily overtaken when statistics for 2005 are collated next month. A break-up of the figures suggests that a majority of the arrivals are from the United Kingdom.
