A Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) between India and Chile would be signed here on Wednesday.

An official release said that the agreement would be signed in the presence of the Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr Kamal Nath and the Commerce Secretary, Mr S.N.Menon, from the Indian side and Mr Jorge Heine, Ambassador of Chile in India on behalf of the Chilean Government.

India and Chile had signed a Framework Agreement on Economic Cooperation during the visit of the Chilean President to India.
