The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), the National Remote Sensing Agency (NRSA) and the Indian Institute of Information Technology-Kerala (IIITM-K) have jointly launched a collaborative academic programme in computational geoinformatics. Among those who took part in a commemorative function here on Tuesday were Dr K. Radhakrishnan, Director, NRSA; Dr V.K. Dadhwal, Dean, IIRS; and Dr K.R.S. Krishnan, Director, Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi; and Prof K.R. Srivathsan, Director, IIITM-K.

The function also marked the launch of the Science, Technology and Informatics Lecture series being hosted by IIITM-K. Dr C.S.P. Iyer, Emeritus Professor, IIITM-K gave an introduction on the series. Dr K. Radhakrishan delivered the inaugural lecture.
