The All-India Management Association (AIMA) will organise its 33rd National Management Convention on October 6-7.
Announcing the dates for the convention on Wednesday, the AIMA President, Mr Sudhir Jalan, said, "With the Indian economy becoming part and parcel of the Indian economy, it is possible not just to aspire but also translate those desires into wealth. India Inc has the potential to move towards a future characterised by standards that are world class and swift. The convention will address the mega trends of the future and likely scenarios. It will deliberate on imperatives and actions for Indian companies to manage challenges and take advantage of the emerging opportunities."
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Shiv Nadar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, HCL Technologies Ltd, said, "Managing the Future the theme of the convention - will address various issues the Indian manager is facing to keep pace with global trends. The future will be very different from today and will pose multiple challenges that are both more intense and are different from those experienced in the past."The Finance Minister, Mr P. Chidambaram, and the Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr Kamal Nath, will preside over the inaugural and valedictory sessions respectively.
