The Karnataka bandh called by the traders belonging to the Bangalore Wholesale Foodgrains and Pulses Merchants' Association at Yeshwanthpur Regulated Market Yard in Bangalore on Wednesday in protest against imposition of service tax has given this young boy some free time to clean his push-cart. As a result of the bandh, wholesale prices of several commodities have shot up by about Rs 50-100 per quintal.
