SCOTLAND'S University of Abertay has decided to extend its annual games competition `Dare to be Digital' to international graduates, with one scholarship place going to an Indian student.

Sponsored by the Scottish Executive's `Fresh Talent: Scotland Scheme', the eight scholarships for students from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and India will give the international students opportunity to compete Scottish, English and Irish students to create original computer games in the 2005 Dare to be Digital competition, the Scottish Enterprise said in a statement here.

Entries for the competition will be accepted until Apiri 18.

The scholarships have been made possible due to funding of around £35,000 from the Fresh Talent: Scotland Scheme, which aims to encourage more people to come to Scotland to live, work or study. The international students who take part in the competition will have the opportunity to experience all that Scotland has to offer in terms of lifestyle, education and business, the statement added.
