VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) has prepared plans to construct modern shopping and office complexes here and at Vizianagaram at a cost of Rs 41.5 crore, according to Mr D. Varaprasad, the Vice-Chairman.

He said in a statement that the complexes would come up at Siripuram Junction, Nehrunagar, Seethammadhara, MVP Colony, Balaji Complex, Gollalapalem and Madhurawada. One would be constructed at Vizianagaram.

VUDA has also prepared plans to construct nine complexes in the city to provide all household goods of reputed brands under a single roof. They would be constructed on BOT basis and the total cost would be Rs 17 crore. Some 1,000 youths are expected to get employment in these projects, he added.
