HYDERABAD: The National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI) and Osmania University (OU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to undertake collaborative work in areas of common interest.

Dr V.P. Dimri, Director of NGRI, and Prof Siddique, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, formally signed the MoU.

The collaboration would include teaching, research and training; intellectual property rights, technology management and transfer, and research programmes with funding from national scientific agencies such as DST, DBT, and DSIR.

Dr Dimri said that at least 25 of the 200 research scientists at the NGRI were alumni of the University.

He added that the Institute was built and developed on land provided by the University.
